Maintenance and hosting

Website maintenance: hosting, updates and changes you do not have to think about

Website maintenance on a monthly plan: hosting, updates, security, backups, monitoring and the small changes that otherwise wait for weeks.

Start with your business.

Twenty minutes, free. If your site is doing fine without maintenance, we say so on the call.

What website maintenance includes

  • Hosting and domain

Your site runs on maintained hosting. We track when the domain and the security certificate expire and renew them on time.

  • Updates and security

We update the software your site runs on and close known holes before anyone can use them.

  • Backups

We keep regular copies of the site and its data away from the server it runs on. If something goes wrong, there is something to restore from.

  • Monitoring

We check that the site is reachable and that the forms work. If something stops, the aim is that we find out, not one of your customers.

  • Small changes

Prices, opening hours, text, photos, a new page on an existing template. How many changes the monthly amount covers is agreed in writing.

  • Speed and visibility in Google

We check that the site loads quickly and that Google shows it, using Google Search Console. We tell you if anything changes.

  • One point of contact

You write to us, not to the hosting company's support. We tell you what happened and what we did.

Tuesday, 11 am. You want to change the holiday opening hours and add a new service. You send us one message. The change appears on the site and you get back to your customers.

The problem we solve

A website is not something you build once and forget. The software under it ages, the security certificate expires, the domain needs renewing, and the enquiry form can stop sending without anyone noticing. The person who built it often no longer answers.

Meanwhile the small changes pile up: a new price, new opening hours, a new photo. Each one waits for someone to find the time. Website maintenance turns all of this into one clear monthly amount and a person you can write to.

Is this for you?

If your site is made with a site builder that looks after hosting and updates itself, and you rarely change it, you do not need a maintenance plan. We say so in the first call.

Maintenance makes sense when the site brings in enquiries or orders and must not go down, when the content changes often, or when the person who built it is no longer around. We maintain the sites we build. A site someone else built we review first, and tell you honestly whether we can take it on or whether rebuilding is the more sensible route.

From first call to launch

  1. A conversation

Twenty free minutes. You tell us what site you have, who built it and what worries you.

  2. Review

We check where the site runs, what it is built on, whether there are backups and what state it is in. We tell you in writing what we find.

  3. Scope and monthly amount

You receive in writing what maintenance covers, how many changes fit in a month and what it costs. We agree it before we start.

  4. Takeover

We move the access over, take a first backup and switch on monitoring. From then on you write to us.

From you: one conversation and access to the site, the domain and the hosting. No homework.

Sites and systems already running

We show working systems, not projected results. These are sites we have built that are running today:

Our own site · live

The site you are reading

Two language versions on two domains. Every enquiry is stored in a database and a Google Sheet and reaches both founders by email. If sending fails, the system tries again.

Client build · live · name withheld

An ordering site for a delivery kitchen

Two separate menus with one shared cart, a live kitchen board, ticket printing and card payment with an on/off switch: if card payment stops, orders continue with cash on delivery.

Client build · live · name withheld

A restaurant and bar site

A menu of more than 200 items in two languages, bookings and orders on a staff board, and a panel the manager uses to change the menu and events.

What website maintenance costs

The monthly amount depends on the site: a simple site of a few pages or a system with orders, payments and boards, how many changes fit in a month and how quickly we need to react if something stops. Larger changes and new features are quoted separately, at a fixed price.

That is why we do not publish a price list. After the free 20-minute call you receive a written offer with a clear monthly amount and a description of what it covers. Before you pay, we confirm the total and any applicable tax in writing.

Your questions, answered

Do you maintain sites you did not build?

Sometimes. We review the site first and tell you honestly whether we can take it on within reason, or whether rebuilding it would cost less.

What counts as a small change?

Changing text, prices, opening hours and photos, or a new page on an existing template. How many changes the monthly amount covers is agreed in writing. New features are quoted separately.

Who owns the site and the domain?

The site and its content are yours. Whose name the domain is in, and how we hand over access if you stop the plan, is agreed in writing in the offer.

What happens if the site goes down?

We start looking for the cause as soon as we know. How quickly we react is written into the offer. If needed, we restore the site from the latest backup.
