Software for transport companies: quotes, shipments and status for the client

Software for transport companies that lets a client request a quote on your website with the route, the cargo and the date, gives the dispatcher every shipment on one board, and lets the client check the shipment status on their own instead of calling.

Start with your business.

20 minutes, free. If your spreadsheet and phone do the job, we say so on the call.

What the software for transport companies includes

  • A website for the company

Your services, routes, fleet and how to request a quote, on a site that works well on a phone.

  • Quote requests

The client fills in from where, to where, what the cargo is and when. The request arrives structured, not as a long email.

  • A dispatch board

Every shipment is a card: request, quote, confirmed, loaded, on the road, delivered. You see which driver and which truck.

  • Status for the client

The client has their own page showing the shipment status. The dispatcher or the driver updates it from their phone.

  • Documents

Consignment notes, invoices and delivery photos sit next to the shipment, and the client downloads them on their own, if it is in the scope.

  • Truck tracking

If your trucks already have a tracking system, we check whether it allows a connection. We check first, then promise.

  • Roles and permissions

The dispatcher sees everything, a driver their own runs, a client only their own shipments.

  • Hosting and support

We take these on for a monthly fee, so the system keeps working after handover.

Friday, 2 pm. The client opens their page: the shipment is loaded and on the road. The dispatcher does not pick up the phone to answer the same question for the fifth time today.

The problem we solve

Quote requests come by email, by phone and through friends of friends. Some stay unanswered, because the dispatcher is on the phone with a driver.

Shipments are tracked in a spreadsheet that one person updates. Clients call to ask where their shipment is, and answering takes three calls.

This is not a dispatcher problem. What is missing is one place where requests come in, shipments move, and the client sees the status on their own. That is what we build.

Is this for you?

If you run one or two trucks and have a few regular clients you know personally, the phone and a spreadsheet are often enough. We say so on the first call.

It makes sense when you handle many shipments, when dispatchers spend the day answering “where is the shipment”, when quote requests get lost, or when clients want to see their documents on their own.

From first call to launch

  1. A call

Free, 20 minutes. You tell us how requests come in today and how you track shipments.

  2. Scope and price

You get in writing what we build and what it costs. Scope and price are agreed before we start.

  3. Built with your stages

You see a working version with your shipment stages and try it with the dispatchers before you show it to clients.

  4. Live in the company

We put the site on your domain, run a test request end to end and show the team how to work with the board.

From you: the stages a shipment goes through, the documents you send to clients, and one test run with the dispatchers. No homework.

What the software for transport companies is built from

We have not had a transport company as a client yet, and we do not claim otherwise. The system is put together from parts that already work for our clients and for us:

Client build · live · name not given

A live board and status for the customer

At a delivery venue, every new order appears on a board with a sound alert, and the customer follows its status on their own page. Every shipment will move the same way.

Own website · live

The enquiry path of this website

Every enquiry is stored in a database and reaches both founders by email. If an email fails, the system tries again, so no quote request is lost.

Own product · live

A stage board for our own work

Every deal of ours moves through stages on a board, with a next step and a date next to it. We use the same model for shipments.

What software for transport companies costs

The price depends on the scope: a website with quote requests, or a dispatch board as well, a client page, documents, a connection to a tracking system and a second language. You get a written offer with a fixed price for the build and a separate monthly fee for hosting and support.

That is why we do not publish a price list. Before payment we confirm the final amount and the applicable tax in writing.

Your questions, answered

How much does software for a transport company cost?

It depends on the scope. You get a written offer with a fixed price for the build and a monthly fee for hosting and support before we start.

Have you built a system for a transport company before?

Not for a transport company. We have built a live board and a page where the customer follows their status. So we first show you a working version with your stages, and only then put it live.

Does it show the truck on a map?

Only if your trucks already have a tracking system that allows a connection. We check first and only then promise. Without it, the status is updated by the dispatcher or the driver.

Can the website be in English too?

Yes. The second language is agreed in the scope and helps if you work with clients abroad.

Start with a free 20-minute call. If you would like to see the numbers first, the 5-minute check shows where the company loses money, with your own data.
