How much a website chatbot costs, and what drives the price
How much a chatbot costs depends on what it has to do: answer with ready-made text or understand a freely written question, how many channels it works on, what it has to know and what it has to connect to. Here we explain each one, why an AI assistant has a cost that depends on usage, and what to ask for in a quote. We do not publish a price list, but after reading this you will know exactly what you are comparing.

The short answer
There is no single price for a chatbot. A window with a few buttons and ready-made answers is one job. An AI assistant that understands questions in Bulgarian, knows your prices and opening hours, takes requests and hands the conversation to a person is a different one entirely. Both are called "a chatbot".
So the useful question is not "how much does a chatbot cost" but "what work should it do instead of the team". The answer sets the scope, and the scope sets the price.
How much a chatbot costs: the six factors
- Scripted or AI A scripted chatbot leads the customer through buttons and ready-made answers. An AI assistant understands a freely written question and answers in its own words. It needs more setup and more testing.
- Channels Only on the website, or also on Viber, Messenger or the phone. Every channel is connected and tested separately. A voice assistant is a different job from a chat.
- What it has to know Services, prices, opening hours, the address and the common questions. Someone has to gather this information, organise it and keep it current.
- What it does besides answering Takes requests, books appointments, writes to a spreadsheet or a CRM, checks a free slot in a calendar. Every such connection is built and tested with real data.
- Languages Every language is set up and tested separately. Answers in Bulgarian have to be read by a person who speaks the language.
- Handing over to a person When the assistant stops and passes the conversation to a member of staff, how the staff member finds out and how the customer is not left without an answer.
The costs after launch
The build is paid once. With an AI assistant there is also a cost that depends on how much it is used. It helps to know it in advance.
- Using the AI model AI model providers charge by the volume of conversations. More conversations mean a bigger bill, so it helps to have a cap.
- Channels and phone services Viber, a phone number and voice services can carry their own fees with their providers.
- Hosting and maintenance Where the assistant runs from, watching the conversations and fixing answers that are not accurate.
- Keeping the information current When you change prices, services or opening hours, the assistant has to learn the new ones. Otherwise it answers with the old information.
When a chatbot is not worth it
If you get few questions and they are always the same, a clear FAQ page on your website can do the job. We say so in the first call.
A chatbot makes sense when the same questions take up the team's time every day, when customers write outside working hours, or when enquiries arrive on several channels and nobody gathers them in one place.
What to ask for in a quote
Before you pay a deposit, ask for this in writing:
- Exactly what it does Answers questions, takes requests, books appointments: what is included and what is not.
- Which channels Website, Viber, Messenger or phone. Every channel listed separately.
- Where its answers come from Who prepares the information and how it is updated when something changes.
- When it hands over to a person Which questions make it stop, and how your team learns that a customer is waiting.
- The costs after launch Maintenance and the cost of the AI model, listed separately from the build, with a cap where possible.
- How it was tested Which questions it was tested with before launch, and what it does when it does not know the answer.
- The data Where the conversations are stored, who can access them and how long they are kept.
How we set our price
We do not work from a price list, because two chatbots with the same name rarely have the same scope. We start with a free 20-minute call where you tell us what questions you get and where. After it you receive a written quote with a fixed price for the build. The costs after launch are listed separately.
If you are not sure a chatbot is what you need, the €390 audit maps your processes and shows what to improve first. The fee is credited in full toward the build.
Frequently asked questions about chatbot prices
What does a website chatbot cost?
It depends on whether it answers from a script or with AI, how many channels it works on, what it has to know and what it connects to. After the free 20-minute call you receive a written quote with a fixed price for the build.
How much does an AI assistant cost compared with a simple chatbot?
Usually more, because it has to understand free text, answer accurately from your information and be tested more carefully. On top of that comes the cost of the AI model, based on usage.
Why does an AI assistant have an ongoing cost?
Because the AI model provider charges by the volume of conversations. That is why this cost should be listed separately in the quote, with a cap where possible.
Can the chatbot give a wrong answer?
It can, if it lacks accurate information or the question is outside what it knows. That is why the assistant is set up to answer from your information, tested with real questions before launch and given a clear rule for when to hand the conversation to a person.
